White Balance

I did some shooting last weekend. Some engagement ceremony.

I am getting comfortable with the A330. Enjoy ever shot I did. But, I realise more now that the kit lens is not very satisfying when it come to image sharpness especially at wide angle. I end up shooting more using the telephotos.

I took a lot of potrait images using the potrait mode. Overall pictures were okey but white ballance a little bit out. I was shooting indors but bright indoors. The image come out to be a little bluish.

Next week I will be shooting wedding. First time using the A330. Wish me luck!

A330 vs D60

I manage to try my friends D60 today. Not shooting, just try the grip.

I used to think that the Nikon has the best grip, but I change my mind today. I am proud to say, my A330 feels better, grip better and handle better.

Am I just trying to comfort myself? Definitely not. My A330 do feel more comfortable in my grip! But of course, this is a very personal opinion.

The Not So Successful Sunset Shots

I was hoping to get good sunset view last Saturday, but to my disappointment, it was just a misty afternoon. Manage to shoot some, but I am not that satisfied.

While shooting, I started to feel comfortable with view finder again. I was shooting 'bridge camera' for so long that I've forgotten how shooting with a proper view finder feels like. With 'bridge camera' I never shoot using EVF. Always using life view.

With the A330, yes, I can always opt to use the live view. No different compare to using a point and shoot. Perfect!

One misty afternoon......

Not so lucky shot...

Another hit and miss..

Handling again!

Yes, it is a bit unusual but after a few hundred shots, I am getting familiar with it.

Now, when you hold the camera, it didn't feel that good but when you raise it to you eyes before you shoot, everything settle down. Push it close and you are framing just fine! Your finger position a little bit odd when you tried to reach the shutter release button but it will take you only a while to get use to it.

So, I guest, all those preview that I've read on the internet may be true, but in my hand, I am starting to feel really comfortable. No regret, really.

I'll upload some of my evening/sunset shots tomorrow!

I've been trying to shoot some photos at my office. But it keep on raining every afternoon. Not that I was worried about failing to shoot... but I was worried that my new A330 would get wet.... argghhhh.........

On the highway late morning.....

Among the first few images!

The handling of this A330 is weird. Feel wrong all over. But after an hour of trying various position, I started to feel more comfortable.

Just use your middle finger to hook the upper part of the grip...... try it!

This is among the first few snaps!
